Judge Robin D. Pittman, a native New Orleanian, has been serving as Judge for Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, Section F, since January of 2009. Judge Pittman has earned a reputation of being hardworking, fair and efficient.
Judge Pittman graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in December 1991. In May 1996, Judge Pittman received a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law.
Prior to taking the bench, Judge Pittman served as an Assistant District Attorney for Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, a Deputy Disciplinary Counsel with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, and an associate in the litigation section with the law firm of Baldwin Haspel Burke & Mayer where she remained until being elected as Judge for Criminal District Court.
Judge Pittman’s community involvement includes memberships with League of Women Voters’ of New Orleans, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Bancroft Park Civic Association, and the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale.
She also runs her own summer youth program and internship/externship program where she employs young people in her courtroom to give them a firsthand experience in the criminal justice process.
Judge Pittman is a long-time supporter of the Martinet Society and often offers her courtroom as a meeting space for Martinet events supporting young lawyers as well as law students. Judge Pittman truly embodies the spirit and essence of the Martinet Society by constantly supporting and assisting young attorneys with career advice and mentoring.
